I was born during the communist era, when Romania’s borders were closed, and anything from abroad seemed like a glimpse into another world. As a teenager, I spent my summers at my grandparents’ house in a picturesque village in southern Romania, eagerly looking forward to the two weeks of vacation by the sea in places like Eforie Nord or Mamaia.
Books were my window to the world. I traveled through imagination alongside Jules Verne’s characters, explored France with Alexandre Dumas, solved mysteries on the streets of London with Sherlock Holmes, and uncovered the secrets of Russia through the works of Dostoievski and Tolstoi. These literary adventures fueled my desire to see the world with my own eyes.
Today, I enjoy the freedom to travel and explore the wonders of this world. Through this blog, I aim to share my travel experiences, passions, and hobbies—from art, literature and entertainment to gastronomy and technology—as well as the products that make my life easier.
